If you're looking for a good family car, the Nissan Rogue Sport can help you there as well, thanks to its many safety and convenience features. The Nissan Rogue Sport is there for your many needs and it is available for purchase or lease right here at Tate's Nissan of Winslow, so let's take a look at where this spacious SUV stands against another well-known and worthy competitor in the mid-sized SUV segment: the Honda HR-V.

The Nissan Rogue Sport vs The Honda HR-V

  • While the engines under the hoods of both of these SUVs contribute the same amount of horsepower, the Nissan Rogue Sport delivers a great deal more torque, which is helpful in acceleration and in operating the all-wheel drive system. The Rogue Sport generates about 147 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 revolutions per minute (RPM) whole the engine of the Honda HR-V generates 127 pound-feet of engine torque.
  • In addition to the powertrain generated by its engine, the Nissan Rogue Sport also features a great deal of fuel efficiency given that is fuel tank can hold about 15 gallons of fuel. The Honda HR-V, on the other hand, holds about 13 gallons of fuel, which makes a big difference when commuting from Flagstaff to Winslow and beyond.
  • The Nissan Rogue Sport features speed-sensitive steering, which enhances the maneuverability and steering capabilities of the SUV overall. This feature is unavailable on the Honda HR-V, which has a much higher turning radius over the Nissan Rogue and, thus, cannot clear smaller corners as efficiently.
  • The Nissan Rogue Sport is the safer of these two SUVs, thanks to its prominent safety features such as thee Occupant Classification System, side impact beams, Blind Spot Warning, and Automatic Emergency Braking. These features are either absent from the base trim levels of the Honda HR-V or are missing from the SUV entirely.
  • When you need more space for cargo, the Nissan Rogue Sport has got your back with up to 61 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the front rows. The Honda HR-V has a maximum cargo capacity of 58 cubic feet. You will notice the difference this amount of space makes when carrying luggage or building materials from Joseph City.
  • In terms of interior space, you and your copilot up front will be delighted by the amount of space brought about by the Nissan Rogue. This spacious five-passenger SUV contains about 43 cubic feet of front head room, 40 inches of front head room. The Honda HR-V features about 41 inches of front leg room and 39 inches of head room. Both SUVs, however, feature roughly 53 inches of hip room up front for you both to enjoy.
  • When it comes to the convenience of you and your passengers, the Nissan Rogue Sport features a number of extra features in all trim levels, such as tire-specific low tire pressure warning, Siri® Eyes Free, two LCD monitors, variable-intermittent windshield wipers, and SiriusXM® Satellite Radio. These features are either unavailable on the base trim levels of the Honda HR-V or are absent from the SUV entirely. The Honda HR-V also only has one front LCD monitor instead of two.
  • Finally, the Nissan Rogue Sport comes backed by 36 months of roadside assistance, courtesy of the Nissan brand, with no mileage restrictions. The Honda HR-V comes with 36 months of roadside assistance, but has a mileage cap of 36,000 miles, making it an ineffective choice for those who drive more frequently.
